Southern Califorina Webmaster Meet-Up

Sunday was the big day; The Southern California Webmaster Meet-Up at Fox Sports Grill in Irvine.
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I ended up having a good time and learning a lot, despite the low turn-out. I didn’t realize until the drive home how nice it is to be able site down with a bunch of like-minded people and just “talk shop”. I’ve been a ‘webmaster’ for a little over a year now, and this is the first time I’ve been able to talk to anybody about this type of stuff. I try to talk to the wife about these things, but she really only understands the ‘visitors needs’ and content type stuff. She doesn’t care about Internet marketing, growing traffic, SEO, Black-Hat vs White-Hat, site earnings, etc. So to be able to sit down and chit-chat, ask questions, and BS about these subjects was great.
I learned a lot, made some friends (I think), and might even be able to forge a few relationships/partnerships.
It looks like we may plan another Southern California Webmaster meet-up in the next month or so. As the plans materialize I will post the info here.
