What Is Your ‘SR’ (Spam Rank) ?

With all the hubub about Google’s recent PR update I thought it was a good idea to mention the real measure of how popular your blog or website is.. The way to judge how popular your blog or site is based on a real-world measurement instead of some mystial/made-up number from Google that nobody can explain or quantify. I’m talking about your SR or SPAM RANK.
When I first moved the blog from Blogger.com to Wordpress and setup my Akismet Plugin I was disappointed after the first few months because it seemed like the spammers didn’t care about me or my blog - Akismet would only get 1 or 2 spam comments per week. I was really starting to feel unloved.
Now that’s all changed. Sure, Google has changed the Page Rank
of the blog from a PR3 to a PR4, but I don’t care about that - I care about what really matters, my SpamRank of over 20,000! Now not a day goes by that I don’t get 5-10 worthless, lame, “trying to look real” spam comments caught by Akismet every day! I’m finally someone!
What’s your Spam-Rank?

I’m at 7,384. I think there’s been an influx since the recent PR update because I have over 2000 in my queue right now!
“Akismet has protected your site from 9,616 spam comments already,”
I’m almost at a 10k spam rank!!!!
Ha ha! Awesome post Randy. Indeed, I show off my spam rank proudly on my sidebar. I currently have 73,223! Woo Hoo!!! Spam me baby!!!
I have been blogging for under a year now so my Sr is probably still pretty low. A quick check and i see “Akismet has caught 458 spam for you since you first installed it.”
Is it possible to have spam envy?
That is awesome. And here all this time I’ve been worried about my PR. If it’s SR we’re talking about, Baby, I’m a star. LOL
Great post.
just about 800 in 2 months. i see huge increases when i post about specific topics- cellphones, pets, gps, etc. they’re mostly from splogs that scrape content.

How true ! I noticed the number of pointless comments (usually written in poor English for some reason) increased significantly when my blog went from PR3 to PR4 - now it’s gone back down to PR3 the spam has dried up. I also got a couple of guys offering to pay me thousands to put an ad. on my blog ! I thought they were either nuts or criminally insane so I ignored them, although now I wonder if I did the right thing
Akismet has protected your site from 112,209 spam comments.
Too funny… love it and feeling VERY loved at the moment.
Akismet has caught 115,038 spam for you since you first installed it.
Cheers,
