Hey, I’m subscribed since you moved to GUG domain, although I have read some of your older posts from blogger before.

Why I’m subscribed? Well, because John Chow sucks and Problogger is repeating himself lol

Reading your blog gives me opportunity to see how other webmasters are building their sites, to learn from real examples.

Although I never liked Kontera, 300 clicks for 3$ , way to go! For me, and like Mubin Ahmed said – AdBrite works better. Yes I know, it depends on your niche but still…

I run 2 sites, first one is Heroes Television and the second is Spoilers Guide ( still under construction – online only week ago) where I have separated WP installations for 90210 and Fringe TV shows at the moment. I earn around 15-20$ / day for now.

Hi Randy,
You might already notice me coming over here to read your Blog articles. I come regularly since the beginning. I am selective reader just like with watching a TV programs. I red all of your posts, I enjoy your writing because it’s very informative and mainly it’s useful. So far I commented here when I was taken to do so … I am waiting for a second part of the Paypal vs Google checkout story, however I already almost sent reply there I must say. The new FF story is great too, I knew that about ya. This is very much Blog with intelligent content. This could be why people post less comments even though you dofolow (thanks), possibly readers digest info load from the read that’s why. It’s like with eating in a better restaurant; after the meal we leave keeping in the tastes and carry the feelings with us for some time. You are not monetising your Blog, that is so modest (it would be interesting to see if you tried to.) You’ve written about this decision I remember well :)

I recognized you from DigitalPoint and I subscribed because you’re doing something similar to me – building and monetizing community sites!

Protoscopic (1 comments)

Shocking that you follow in an age where outbound links are viewed as currency. Anyway we run a site called Protoscopic where we’re basically doing a case study in “Internet Business” to see what works and what doesn’t. Your blog is an interesting parallel, except you met with fairly quick success. You also do a fine job of describing your Drupal setup which is probably more useful than you would think from the inside.

You got me there Randy. It is not everybody who can successfully claim back their paypal account or is it the adsense/kontera/drupal posts. I am not sure but the quality keeps me reading on.

I am a newbie blogger at http://www.setsocket.com

and also use http://www.fightingvideo.net to satisfy my carnal desires(no adult content :-) )

Thanks for bringing us out of the woodwork.

I am following your blog because I am working in a vertical social media start-up. And I really appreciate your comments and wisdom pearls you give to us. Your practical advises and real life cases help us to avoid mistakes and extract best practices. I start following you because we are using Drupal and I found your Drupal comments.

Alan Hollis, UK.

I have been subscribed to your blog for a very long time and found you through your paid advertisement on John Cow.com. Your blog is interesting compared to others I read as it focus more on the challenges you face which I enjoy reading. Two that stick out are the MySQL issues last week (did you get that resolved? I’m a programmer by profession would find it interesting to read the answer) and your dealings with paypal. It would be nice if you posted more often ;) .

P.S My website is no longer updated, I chose to abandon the blog and concentrate on my PPC efforts, which are not going too badly.

Your posts are informative. I like the posts about paypal, and your issues with your webserver crashing. Keep up the great work. Hopefully I can one day get over 100 RSS readers and have a lot of people come to my blog.

I just hopped on over here from DP (I’m ‘wordscientist’ there). I was reading that Joel Comm debate and saw your post enticing me to click on your blog link. How could I pass up on information for earning $80K a year? ;)

At first glance, it looks like you’ve got a genuinely helpful blog here, and that is what will keep me coming back.

I also came from digital point to your blog after seeing your signature of how you managed to earn $80K in a year.

After surfing around your blog, I realized I am gonna stay, read and comment on your helpful articles, and maybe get some do-follow benefits too ;)

I found your blog in a Google search, and was interested because I was looking for real stories of people’s experience with AdSense and alternatives.

I am involved with a newish Q&A site http://quezi.com/ and also a paid Q&A/research site http://uclue.com/ both of which run AdSense, but only for non-logged-in users and not on the front page.

Naturally I’m interested in any ways to improve the income potential of the sites, without becoming so ad-heavy that regular users are discouraged.

So thanks for your articles. I specially appreciated the one about blocking the sitemap from spammers. That had never occurred to me.
