Drupal 5 Upgrade FTW!
We went ahead with the upgrade from Drupal 4.7 to Drupal 5 Friday afternoon after seeing how good the testing went at the test site.
I started the upgrade at around noon, and had the site back online around 3pm. The upgrade went well as expected, and all I can say is WoW! If you have been putting off upgrading from 4.7 to Drupal 5 all I can say is DO IT. The added functionality and performance are well worth it and even though I had 2.5 years worth of mods and customizations all of which were UNdocumented, I still didn’t run into any issues I could not figure out. I still have many hours ahead of me to re-implement all of our previous mods and features and start looking at new features, but so far I (and members) are very pleased.
