2009 ToolBar Page Rank Update
I don’t usually pay any attention to all the fuss that many webmasters make over PR updates, but today GrownUpGeek.com went from PR4 to PR5, so NOW I care. GrownUpGeek.com scored a PR5 in the latter half of 2006, but lost it in October 2007 along with thousands if not millions of other sites.
It appears that the toolbar PR update is still rolling-out because I watched my PR jump from PR4 to PR5 two or three times over the course of a few minutes. Check your PR, and if it hasn’t changed wait a minute and try a refresh – you might get a Happy April Fool’s Day gift from Google..

Wow congratulation for the PR
Have you seen any particular reason why you might have seen a recent increase, or do you think it’s just the aging process?

Age+links, and now people some say +user behavior = higher PR ..
Congrats on the page rank increase. My fathers domain is a PR2 and one of my websites is a PR1. It is sad that my father has a higher page rank then me.
LOL Greg Ellison
One of my sites recieved a PR3 from PR1 after a quick rush of link building before the update.
Recently I’ve stopped obsessing about getting a high PR so much and am now concentrating on getting high in SERPs. I still want high PR so I can get a few better quality link exchanges but SERPs come first atm.
Think I’ll be subscribing to your RSS Randy, keep up the good work!
