One Of My Best Marketing Stunts

This is a repost from two-years ago, when we originally did this. To this day, this “stunt” remains one of the most creative and original marketing ideas we’ve ever done. The original blog post as well as the posts over at the site still generate thousands of hits per week – and old Joe is still my walking-billboard showing off GrownUpGeek.com all over New York.

Unfortunately the video which was on Joe’s Youtube channel was pulled shortly after it was posted – but I recently “remastered” the video and posted it on my new GrownUpGeek video channel.

Did you actually pay Joe to do it, or did he do it for free?

Are you also getting alot of traffic to your tatoo posts from bing?

That is both awesome and nuts in equal measure.

My mate wants to get a tattoo, I wonder how much I’ll have to pay him to get an ad on his arm for one of my blogs!

This is CRAZY!

Even if someone paid me a million dollars I would never do it.

Tbh, this is one of the best offline marketing strategies I have seen.

That is a pretty good tattoo. That is also very cool that he wanted to put your logo on his arm. Greg Ellison
