April So. Cal WEMUG Meeting
The second Southern California Web Entrepreneurs Meet Up Group (WEMUG) meeting went pretty well. Turn-out was was larger than last month, and all things considered I would say it was a success.
As promised, Jonathan Dingman, President of FiresideMedia.Net made the big pre-announcement of the job that he has accepted in New York. Due to non-disclosure agreements and other legal reasons I’m not permitted to post who he’s going to work for (ya, I forgot to ask him if it’s ok), but it is safe to say it’s a relatively big name in the internet marketing/advertising industry.
Tom Barr founder of WEMUG discusses some of the intricacies of link-building with FireSide Media President Jonathan Dingman
Topics of discussion ranged from negative linking & link-building (a new term for me) to the future of the internet and web-based applications. We touched on blackhat grey-hat & white-hat SEO, arbitrage, PPC, Myspace marketing, traffic building, link building and probably a few more topics that I missed. Just like last month, it was great to sit around and just “talk shop”.
The next WEMUG meeting is tentatively scheduled for May 27, 3PM at Fox Sports Grill in Irvine.
